Boysterous Sailing Yacht Charters
‘Boysterous’ is the best Oyster 53 sailing yacht available for luxury skippered charter and your best ever sailing holiday.
Boysterous’ programme saw her returning from the Caribbean during summer 2007 and based in Lanzarote for winter 2007/8. She sailed for Madeira, Gibraltar and Ibiza during April 2008 and was based in the marina at Santa Eulalia in Ibiza for May and June. In July, August and September, she was based at Marina de Denia before returning to Palma where she was chartered for Oyster Week at the end of September. In October she returned to Marina Rubicon in Lanzarote until April 2009.
Down below, ‘Boysterous’ is fitted out in light American oak and Alcantara with two double berth cabins, two cabins with twin bunks and two heads / showers. Light and airy, comfortable, with large galley, fridge and freezer, microwave and washer dryer, she will be your perfect charter yacht for four people.
Above her teak decks, she has a cutter / sloop rig, North Spectra sails with fully battened main and single line reefing, electric sheet and halyard winches and bow thruster, all easily controlled from the well protected cockpit. The latest Raymarine E80 integrated radar plotter and instruments bring navigation to the cockpit as well as at the chart table. We have a 10' dinghy with 10HP motor. The aft bathing platform has a H/C shower. Boysterous is easily handled by two people so the charter party can take as large or small a part in the actual sailing as they wish. She is British registered and MCA coded.
Boysterous is owner Colin Hall’s second Oyster. With his previous Oyster 406, he won Oyster Week 2004 in the BVIs and the ARC Europe 2005 from Bermuda to the Azores. With the new boat, he has won Oyster Week in Cowes and come second in Antigua. Oysters can and do race but they are really powerful and comfortable cruisers. Large fuel and water tanks, 100HP engine and 7.5 Kw generator make ‘Boysterous’ much more self-sufficient than most yachts of her size, so charterers have the choice of leisurely day sailing round the bays and islands of the Mediterranean and Caribbean, or longer blue water passages.
