Boysterous - Oyster 53 Luxury Yacht Charter

Boysterous Programme

Boysterous, new in December 2005, spent the first half of 2006 shaking down in the Solent. This included the Round the Island Race and a win in Class 1 of Montpelier Oyster Week at the Royal Yacht Squadron. In July 2006 she headed south across Biscay to the Spanish Rias, Algarve, Costa del Sol, Ibiza and Majorca to take part in Montpelier Oyster Week in October at the Real Club Nautico de Palma where she finished third.

She then headed for Gran Canaria via Gibraltar and Lanzarote, and took part in the ARC 2006. The 2,770 mile crossing took 15 days, 15 hours in good trade winds. She was placed fourth in Class and 28th overall.

Caribbean, 2007

From St Lucia, Boysterous moved on to Antigua. Apart from bays and islands, Boysterous was a good base for several matches in the Cricket World Cup. She then was placed second in Oyster Antigua Week and sixth in Class in Antigua Sailing Week. In May, she left Antigua for the 2,200 mile passage to Horta in the Azores which she completed in thirteen days.

Canaries 2007 - Mediterranean 2008

In October 2007, Boysterous headed from Horta via Madeira for Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote and then in April 2008, left Lanzarote, and with stops in Madeira, Gibraltar and Cartagena spent May and June in Ibiza.

From July to September, Boysterous was based on the Spanish mainland at Denia and was back in Palma for Oyster Week at the end of September 2008. The winter was again spent at Marina Rubicon and several voyages around the Canary Islands were made.

Then, in May 2009, Boysterous sailed via the Azores and the West Country back home to Hamble where she is now based. She was first Oyster home in the Round The Island Race and took a gun on the last day of Cowes Week. Recent voyages have included Round Britain and Ireland and two charters to the Channel Islands and Brittany.
